Terms and Conditions
1. General information
This website (the “Site”) is operated by Tartufumbria. By accessing and using the Site or placing an order, users accept these Terms and Conditions. TartufUmbria may amend them at any time; changes take effect from publication.
2. Products
TartufUmbria sells fresh truffles, truffle-based food products and extra virgin olive oil.
2.1. Product characteristics
Site information —photographs, descriptions, weights and seasonality— is indicative. Truffles are fresh, natural products, so variations in shape, colour and size are normal. Their weight may fluctuate slightly because of natural water loss.
2.2. Availability
Displayed availability cannot be guaranteed completely, especially for fresh and seasonal products. If an item is unavailable, the user will be contacted about a replacement or refund.
3. Prices
All prices are in euros (€) and include VAT unless otherwise stated. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. TartufUmbria may change prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed when the order is placed.
4. Orders
By placing an order, users confirm that they have read and accepted these terms, are of legal age, and have provided accurate and complete information. TartufUmbria may refuse suspicious or incomplete orders.
5. Payments
Available payment methods are shown during purchase, for example payment card, PayPal or bank transfer. Payment is in advance, and an order is processed only after payment has been confirmed.
6. Shipping
6.1. Methods
Products are shipped by specialist carriers. Fresh truffles travel in chilled or protective packaging to preserve quality and integrity.
6.2. Delivery times
Times vary by destination. As a guide: Italy, 24–72 hours; Europe, variable depending on the country. Carrier delays cannot be attributed to TartufUmbria.
6.3. Risk and responsibility
The risk of deterioration increases if delivery fails because the recipient is absent. Users must provide a correct address and be present to receive delivery.
7. Right of withdrawal
7.1. Fresh products
The right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable food products, such as fresh truffles, under Article 59(1)(d) of the Italian Consumer Code.
7.2. Non-perishable products
For other products, such as preserves and olive oil, users may withdraw within 14 days of receipt, provided the product has not been opened or damaged and its seal is intact. Return-shipping costs are borne by the user.
8. Complaints and replacements
For damaged products, shipping errors or obvious defects, users must contact TartufUmbria within 24 hours of delivery and send photographs of the product and packaging, together with the order number. Complaints about fresh products without photographic documentation cannot be considered.
9. Liability
TartufUmbria is not responsible for improper product use, carrier delays, errors in the address provided by the user, or external events and force majeure.
10. Intellectual property
The Site’s content, text, photographs, brand and materials belong to TartufUmbria and may not be copied, changed or used without written permission.
11. Privacy
Personal-data processing is described in the Site’s Privacy Policy, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile where applicable, or the court competent for TartufUmbria in other cases.
